Erratum
3/2005
Upon the request by one of our peer-reviewers, at the very last moment before sending the issue 4/2004 to the press, editors of Ab Imperio introduced changes to the article by Agnieszka Jagodzińska. One of these corrections turned out to be wrong as our reviewer failed to substantiate the claim, therefore we apologize for this unauthorized modification of the article by Ms. Jagodzińska and publish the following errata statement below.
Editors of Ab Imperio
I would like to correct the improper information concerning the economic activity of Jews in medieval Warsaw which was given on p. 134 of my article "Between Two Worlds. The Jewish Cemetery in Warsaw as a Cultural Text" published in Ab Imperio 2004. Vol. 5. Pp. 133-154. Due to unauthorized changes, my original sentence
“They were usually involved in trade, craft or money lending.”
was replaced by the following one:
“They were usually involved in trade, craft, or propinacia (distilling and selling of alcohol) and arenda (leasing and sub-leasing of estates).”
